Ground-breaking solutions
are our constant aim
The question that constantly drives us is “How can cup fillers, bucket fillers and dosing systems be enhanced to accommodate the evolving requirements of markets and customers?” This is what we ask ourselves each and every day. And, as we discover the answers, we become a pioneer of innovative machine designs.
Here are some of the technical achievements for which GRUNWALD is renowned:
- We consistently minimise machine downtimes by ensuring optimised product change/changeover times. For example: With GRUNWALD, product changeover times can be reduced by up to 70% compared to established technologies.
- In 2019, we became the first food industry machinery manufacturer in the world to completely stop using peroxide – thereby setting ecological standards in the areas of hygiene management and sustainability.
- We develop intelligent machinery that taps digital potential in the right way – and makes life a whole lot easier for machine operators.
We develop the optimum solution to meet the individual needs of each specific customer so that they can really make headway. Not only now, but also in the future! Ultimately, this can-do attitude is the key to our unique success story – a story that we love adding new chapters to in conjunction with our customers, machine by machine.
How we became a pioneer
one step at a time
GRUNWALD is the perfect example of how much drive and determination to progress can be found in a family owned and operated business. Within a few short decades, we have evolved from a trading firm into a globally active manufacturer of machinery. We are renowned throughout the world for our innovative and technically forward-looking solutions for cup filler, bucket filler and dosing system technology.
As a result, we regard ourselves as a pioneer who knows how to delight its customers across the globe with technology engineered and made in Germany.
Each and every day, we do everything we can to write the next chapter of our success story.

Ergonomic low-level operationdeveloped for cup fillers, allowing optimum access to rotary-type machines without having to use a platform.
2014
Development and certification of the GRUNWALD ultraclean (UC) hygiene concept for linear cup filling machinesWith this concept, GRUNWALD manages to set new standards in the area of peroxide-free hygiene by achieving a level of hygiene that meets the exact requirements of ultraclean cup filler machines without the need for costly aseptic technology – at the same time as delivering maximum performance.
2015
Delivery of the first GRUNWALD rotary-type bucket fillerfeaturing ergonomic low-level operation – for optimum access to the bucket filler without the need for a platform.
2015
Delivery of the GRUNWALD linear cup filling machine with an innovative peroxide-free ultraclean (UC) hygiene conceptThe certified ultraclean (UC) sterilisation system includes:
- A double pulsed light UV(C) high-performance sterilisation system with a guaranteed sterilisation rate of LOG 4 at 40 cycles per minute
- Pre-filler and main filler with an aseptic design, type: “GRUNWALD EASYCLEAN” – following EHEDG guidelines, tested by Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences.
- Laminar air cabin, designed as a hygiene tunnel, cleanroom class 5, HEPA filter according to EN ISO 14644

2018
Delivery of the first GRUNWALD ultraclean (UC) bucket fillerBucket sterilisation via pulsed UV(C) high-performance radiators (pulsed light) – a technology specially developed by GRUNWALD – guarantees a sterilisation rate of at least LOG 4 for buckets with a capacity of up to 10 kg.
2019
GRUNWALD machines become peroxide-freeAs of 1 January 2019, all cup and bucket fillers are equipped with the special UV(C) hygiene concept developed by GRUNWALD itself, making it the first machinery manufacturer in the world to take a ground-breaking decision of this kind – with a view to safeguarding the health of machine operators, protecting the product and reducing operating costs.
2021
GRUNWALD cup filler for the dairy of the futureGRUNWALD-FOODLINER 30.000 UC is an intelligent filling and packing machine in ultraclean (UC) design with maximum hygiene standard, highest possible flexibility and at the same time maximum speed (sterilisation rate ≥ LOG 4 at 40 cycles/min.).
2022
New evacuation technology developed for the delicatessen industryThe evacuation system allows a production to run with rotary-type and inline GRUNWALD machines without any restriction (at full cycle speed with up to 42 cycles/min.) and to achieve remaining oxygen values of ≤ 0.5 % in the headspace of the cups at the same time. Owing to this new technology, evacuation is no longer necessary!
